The Brief:

My clients built this lovely home two and half years ago and decided to put it on the market April this year.
The feedback they received from the viewings was that it is a nice home, however, it was lacking the wow factor, Therefore not achieving the reserve price the owners were looking for to sell.
So the clients contacted Dani Louis Design to inject this ‘wow factor’, which we achieved by implementing simple but effective design solutions.
We re-painted the house internally with a fresh modern neutral colour, to give it more warmth and contrast to the white ceilings, doors and trims. Hanging wallpaper in a couple of the rooms for some visual interest/impact and replacing certain lighting with modern stylish pendants, as well as all new window treatments, the home was really starting to take on a visual transformation. We also added some feature tiles in the bathrooms, framed the bathroom mirrors and tended to the garden/ pool areas.

Finally, we styled and spatially composed some of the clients existing furniture as well as hiring additional furniture to complete the luxurious look, which is much more affordable than buying all new pieces.

By implementing splashes of colour through cushions, throws, artwork, plants and an assortment of accessories, the home was lifted out of its original blandness into a fresh, lively, colourful modern designer home, which should get anyone excited about!

The clients went to auction on November 7th and achieved $150, 000 over the price previously achieved in April, so a 12.5% increase! The outlay to achieve this profit was $23,500. So very happy clients indeed!
